Carbon Aluminum Nitride Powder Description:

Aluminum Nitride Powder is a solid nitride of aluminum. It has a high thermal conductivity of up to 285 W/(m·K) and is an electrical insulator.

Its wurtzite phase (w-AlN) has a bandgap of ~6 eV at room temperature and has a potential application in optoelectronics operating at deep ultraviolet frequencies.

Epitaxially grown thin-film crystalline aluminum nitride is used for surface acoustic wave sensors (SAWs) deposited on silicon wafers because of AlN's piezoelectric properties.

One application is an RF filter that is widely used in mobile phones, which is called a thin film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR).

This is a MEMS device that uses aluminum nitride sandwiched between two metal layers. AlN is also used to build piezoelectric micromachined ultrasound transducers, which emit and receive an ultrasound, and which can be used for in-air range finding over distances of up to a meter. Metallization methods are available to allow AlN to be used in electronics applications similar to those of alumina and beryllium oxide.

AlN nanotubes as inorganic quasi-one-dimensional nanotubes, which are isoelectronic with carbon nanotubes, have been suggested as chemical sensors for toxic gases.

Currently, there is much research into developing light-emitting diodes to operate in the ultraviolet using gallium nitride-based semiconductors and, using the alloy aluminum gallium nitride, wavelengths as short as 250 nm have been achieved.

In 2006, an inefficient AlN LED emission at 210 nm was reported.

A mass of carbon-coated cobalt nanoparticles was successfully synthesized by chemical vapor deposition of methane over the Co/Al catalyst at 650 °C. The phases found in the as-prepared carbon-coated nanoparticles were fcc-Co. The diameter of these nanoparticles with a 2–10 nm carbon coating shell was in the range of 5–80 nm. However, it is well-known that the Co nanoparticles are suitable for carbon nanotube synthesis, such as Co/Al2O3 and Co/SiO2 catalysts. Here, we speculated that the formation mechanism of carbon-coated cobalt nanoparticles might due to the that the formation of carbon nanotubes was inhibited by the catalyst supporter of Al. Compared with Al2O3 and SiO2, Al possesses a very low melting point (660 °C), very high diffusion coefficient and thermal conductivity, thus the isotropic precipitation of carbon species on the surface of cobalt particles took place, favoring the formation of carbon-coated Co nanoparticles. Cerium Acetylacetonate Description

Cerium Acetylacetonate Hydrate is a Cerium source that is soluble in organic solvents as an organometallic compound (also known as metalorganic, organo-inorganic and metallo-organic Acetylacetonate Packaging, Lab Quantitycompounds). The high purity acetylacetonate anion complexes by bonding each oxygen atom to the metallic cation to form a chelate ring; because of this property, acetylacetonates are commonly used in various catalysts and catalytic reagents for organic synthesis, including.

The fabrication of various shapes of carbon nanostructures (as demonstrated by a 2013 experiment by researchers at the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden) via the use of chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and laser evaporation techniques.

Cerium Acetylacetonate Hydrate is one of numerous organo-metallic compounds (also known as metalorganic, organo-inorganic and Metallo-organic compounds) sold by nanochemazone. Similar results can sometimes also be achieved with Nanoparticles and by thin film deposition. Note nanochemazone additionally supplies many materials as solutions.

Nanochemazone produces to many standard grades when applicable, including Mil Spec (military grade); ACS, Reagent and Technical Grade; Food, Agricultural and Pharmaceutical Grade; Optical Grade, USP and EP/BP (European Pharmacopoeia/British Pharmacopoeia) and follows applicable ASTM testing standards. Typical and custom packaging is available. Additional technical, research and safety (MSDS) information is available as is a Reference Calculator for converting relevant units of measurement..

Niobium Cerium Oxide Dispersion Description:

Niobium, also known as columbium, is a chemical element with the symbol Nb (formerly Cb) and atomic Niobium is a light grey, crystalline, and ductile transition metal. Pure niobium has a Mohs hardness rating similar to that of pure titanium, and it has similar ductility to iron.

Niobium oxidizes in the earth's atmosphere very slowly, hence its application in jewelry as a hypoallergenic alternative to nickel. Niobium is often found in the minerals pyrochlore and columbite, hence the former name "columbium". Its name comes from Greek mythology, specifically Niobe, who was the daughter of Tantalus, the namesake of tantalum.

The name reflects the great similarity between the two elements in their physical and chemical properties, making them difficult to distinguish. Niobium is used mostly in alloys, the largest part in special steel such as that used in gas pipelines.

Although these alloys contain a maximum of 0.1%, the small percentage of niobium enhances the strength of the steel. The temperature stability of niobium-containing superalloys is important for its use in jet and rocket engines. Niobium is used in various superconducting materials.

These superconducting alloys, also containing titanium and tin, are widely used in the superconducting magnets of MRI scanners. Other applications of niobium include welding, nuclear industries, electronics, optics, numismatics, The room temperature form of NbO2 has a tetragonal, rutile-like structure with short Nb-Nb distances, indicating Nb-Nb bonding. The high temperature form also has a rutile-like structure with short Nb-Nb distances.

Two high-pressure phases have been reported one with a rutile-like structure, again with short Nb-Nb distances, and a higher pressure with baddeleyite-related structure. NbO2 is insoluble in water and is a powerful reducing agent, reducing carbon dioxide to carbon and sulfur dioxide to sulfur. In an industrial process for the production of niobium metal, NbO2 is produced as an intermediate,  The NbO2 is subsequently reacted with magnesium vapor to produce niobium metal.

 Description

Cerium is a Block F, Group 3, Period 6 element with an atomic weight of 140.116. The number of electrons in each of cerium's shells is 2, 8, 18, 19, 9, 2 and its electron configuration is [Xe]4f2 6s2. The cerium atom has a radius of 182.5 pm and a Van der Waals radius of 235 pm. In its elemental form, cerium has a silvery white appearance.

Cerium is the most abundant of the rare earth metals. It is characterized chemically by having two valence states, the +3 cerous and +4 ceric states. The ceric state is the only non-trivalent rare earth ion stable in aqueous solutions. It is, therefore, strongly acidic and moderately toxic. It is also a strong oxidizer.

The cerous state closely resembles the other trivalent rare earths. Cerium is found in the minerals allanite, bastnasite, hydroxylbastnasite, monazite, rhabdophane, synchysite and zircon. Cerium was discovered by Martin Heinrich Klaproth, Jöns Jakob Berzelius, and Wilh elm Hisinger in 1803 and first isolated by Carl Gustaf Mosander in 1839. The element was named after the asteroid Ceres.

Praseodymium is a Block F, Group 3, Period 6 element with an atomic weight of 140.90765. The number of electrons in each of praseodymium's shells is 2, 8, 18, 21, 8, 2 and its electron configuration is [Xe]4f3 6s2. The praseodymium atom has a radius of 182 pm and a Van der Waals radius of 239 pm.

Praseodymium resembles the typical trivalent rare earths, however, it will exhibit a +4 state when stabilized in a zirconia host. Unlike other rare-earth metals, which show antiferromagnetic and / or ferromagnetic ordering at low temperatures, praseodymium is paramagnetic at any temperature above 1 K. Praseodymium is found in the minerals monazite and bastnasite.

Praseodymium was discovered by Carl Auer von Welsbach in 1885. The origin of the element name comes from the Greek words prasios didymos, meaning green twin.

Chromium Carbide Cr3C2 Powder APPLICATION FIELDS

Chromium Carbide Cr3C2 Powder is a ceramic compound that exists in several different chemical compositions: Cr3C2, Cr7C3, and Cr23C6. At standard conditions, it exists as a gray solid. It is extremely hard and corrosion-resistant. It is also a refractory compound, which means that it retains its strength at high temperatures as well. These properties make use as an additive to metal alloys. When chromium carbide crystals are integrated into the surface of a metal it improves the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the metal and maintains these properties at elevated temperatures. Cr3C2 powder is mixed with solid nickel-chromium. This mixture is then heated to very high temperatures and sprayed onto the object being coated where it forms a protective layer. This layer is essentially its own metal matrix composite, consisting of hard ceramic Cr3C2 particles embedded in a nickel-chromium matrix. Cr3C2 prevents large grains from forming in the composite, which results in a fine-grained structure of superior toughness.

Chromium Carbide Cr3C2 Application:

  1. Used as high temperature resistant and wear-resistant surface materials
  2. Used for welding and flux-cored wire
  3. Chromium carbide is useful in the surface treatment of metal components.
  4. Chromium carbide is used to coat the surface of another metal in a technique known as thermal spraying.
  5. Chromium carbide is used as an additive in cutting tools in order to improve toughness by preventing the growth of large grains.

Chromium Carbide Cr3C2 Properties:

There are three different crystal structures for chromium carbide corresponding to the three different chemical compositions. Cr23C6 has a cubic crystal structure and a Vickers hardness of 976 kg/mm2. Cr7C3 has a hexagonal crystal structure and a microhardness of 1336 kg/mm2. Cr3C2 is the most durable of the three compositions and has an orthorhombic crystal structure with a microhardness of 2280 kg/mm2. For this reason, Cr3C2 is the primary form of chromium carbide used in surface treatment.   Please email us for the customization. Product Code NCZ-NSC429/20

Chromium Erbium Oxide Dispersion Description :

Chromium Oxide Nanopowder are used as a pigment in paints, inks, and glasses. It is used as a precursor for magnetic pigments (chromium dioxide). Chromium Erbium Oxide Dispersion is also used a thermal spray material for protecting the underlying metal surface, and as an additive to corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant materials. chromium Erbium Oxide Dispersionare used in coatings of bearings, seals, orifices, and valve seals The corundum structure, consisting of a hexagonal close-packed array of oxide anions with 2⁄3 of the octahedral holes occupied by chromium. Similar to corundum, Cr 2O3 is a hard, brittle material (Mohs hardness 8 to 8.5). It is antiferromagnetic up to 307 K, the Néel temperature.

Chromium Erbium Oxide Dispersion is not readily attacked by acids. Because of its considerable stability, chromium is a commonly used pigment. It was originally called viridian. It is used in paints, inks, and glasses. It is the colorant in "chrome green" and "institutional green." Chromium Erbium Oxide Dispersion is a precursor to the magnetic pigment chromium dioxide, by the following reaction. Along with many other oxides.

Chromium Erbium Oxide Dispersion is used as a compound when polishing (also called stropping) the edges of knives, razors, surfaces of optical devices, etc. on a piece of leather, balsa, cloth, or other material. It is available in powder or wax form, and in this context, it is known as "green compound". Unlike the classic thermite reaction involving iron oxides,

The chromium oxide thermite creates few or no sparks, smoke, or sound, but glows brightly. Because of the very high melting point of chromium, chromium thermite casting is impractical. Heating with chlorine and carbon yields chromium chloride and carbon monoxide.

Chromium Europium Oxide Dispersion Description

Chromium Europium Oxide Dispersion is a chemical element with the symbol Cr and atomic number 24. It is the first element in group 6. It is a steely-grey, lustrous, hard, and brittle transition metal. Chromium is the main additive in stainless steel, to which it adds anti-corrosive properties.

Chromium Europium Oxide Dispersion is also highly valued as a metal that is able to be highly polished while resisting tarnishing. Polished chromium reflects almost 70% of the visible spectrum, with almost 90% of infrared light being reflected.

The name of the element is derived from the Greek word χρῶμα, chrōma, meaning color, because many chromium compounds are intensely colored. Ferrochromium alloy is commercially produced from chromite by silicothermic or aluminothermic reactions and chromium metal by roasting and leaching processes followed by reduction with carbon and then aluminum.

Chromium Europium Oxide Dispersion is of high value for its high corrosion resistance and hardness. A major development in steel production was the discovery that steel could be made highly resistant to corrosion and discoloration by adding metallic chromium to form stainless steel.

Stainless steel and chrome plating (electroplating with chromium) together comprise 85% of the commercial use. The exchange bias phenomenon, which is assigned to the exchange coupling between the glassy-like shell and canted antiferromagnetic core, showed the opposite sign in CeCrO3 and EuCrO3 at low temperatures.

Suggesting different exchange interactions at the interfaces in these compounds. The energy level excitation of samples was examined by an inelastic neutron scattering which was in good agreement with the heat capacity data. Neutron scattering analysis of EuCrO3 was challenging due to the large neutron absorption cross-section of europium.

Ingredient Cr+3/Gd2O3
Product Code NCZ-NSC436/20

Chromium Gadolinium Oxide Nanopowder Dispersion Description

Chromium Gadolinium Oxide Dispersion is a chemical element with the symbol Gd and atomic number 64. Gadolinium is a silvery-white metal when oxidation is removed. It is only slightly malleable and is a ductile rare-earth element.

Chromium Gadolinium Oxide Dispersion reacts with atmospheric oxygen or moisture slowly to form a black coating. Chromium Gadolinium Oxide Dispersion below its Curie point of 20 °C (68 °F) is ferromagnetic, with an attraction to a magnetic field higher than that of nickel. Above this temperature, it is the most paramagnetic element. It is found in nature only in an oxidized form. When separated, it usually has impurities of the other rare-earths because of their similar chemical properties.

Chromium Gadolinium Oxide Dispersion possesses unusual metallurgical properties, to the extent that as little as 1% of gadolinium can significantly improve the workability and resistance to oxidation at high temperatures of iron, chromium, and related metals.

Chromium Gadolinium Oxide Dispersion as a metal or a salt absorbs neutrons and is, therefore, used sometimes for shielding in neutron radiography and in nuclear reactors. Like most of the rare earth.

Chromium Gadolinium Oxide Dispersion forms trivalent ions with fluorescent properties, and salts of gadolinium are used as phosphors in various applications. The kinds of gadolinium ions occurring in water-soluble salts are toxic to mammals.

However, chelated gadolinium compounds are far less toxic because they carry gadolinium through the kidneys and out of the body before the free ion can be released into the tissues. Because of its paramagnetic properties, solutions of chelated organic gadolinium complexes are used as intravenously administered gadolinium-based MRI contrast agents in medical magnetic.

Chromium Propylene Glycol Dispersion Description:

Chromium Propylene Glycol Dispersion according to the National Library of Medicine and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, is a synthetic liquid substance that absorbs water. It is labeled an organic compound in chemistry due to its carbon attributes. It is a viscous, colorless liquid, which is nearly odorless but possesses a faintly sweet taste. Containing two alcohol groups, it is classed as a diol.

Chromium Propylene Glycol Dispersion miscible with a broad range of solvents, including water, acetone, and chloroform. In general, glycols are non-irritating and have very low volatility. It is produced on a large scale primarily for the production of polymers. Propylene glycol is approved and used as a vehicle for topical, oral, and some intravenous pharmaceutical preparations. Final products contain 20% propylene glycol, 1.5% of di propylene glycol, and small amounts of other Chromium Propylene Glycol Dispersion. Further purification produces finished industrial grade or USP/JP/EP/BP grade propylene glycol that is typically 99.5% or greater. Use of USP (US Pharmacopoeia) propylene glycol can reduce the risk of Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) rejection.

Chromium Propylene Glycol Dispersion can also be obtained from glycerol, a byproduct of the production of biodiesel. This starting material is usually reserved for industrial use because of the noticeable odor and taste that accompanies the final product.

Chromium Silicon Monoxide Description Chromium is a Block D, Group 6, Period 4 element with an atomic weight of 51.9961. The number of electrons in each of Chromium's shells is 2, 8, 13, 1 and its electron configuration is [Ar] 3d5 4s1. Chromium was first discovered by Louis Nicolas Vauquelin in 1797. It was first isolated in 1798, also by Louis Nicolas Vauquelin. The chromium atom has a radius of 128 pm and a Van der Waals radius of 189 pm. In its elemental form, chromium has a lustrous steel-gray appearance. Chromium is the hardest metal element in the periodic table and the only element that exhibits antiferromagnetic ordering at room temperature, above which it tranforms into a paramagnetic solid. The most common source of chromium is chromite ore (FeCr2O4). Due to its various colorful compounds, Chromium was named after the Greek word 'chroma' meaning color. Silicon: Silicon is a Block P, Group 14, Period 3 element with an atomic weight of 28.085. The number of electrons in each of Silicon's shells is 2, 8, 4 and its electron configuration is [Ne] 3s2 3p2. The silicon atom has a radius of 111 pm and a Van der Waals radius of 210 pm. Silicon was discovered and first isolated by Jöns Jacob Berzelius in 1823. Silicon makes up 25.7% of the earth's crust, by weight, and is the second most abundant element, exceeded only by oxygen. The metalloid is rarely found in pure crystal form and is usually produced from the iron-silicon alloy ferrosilicon. Silica (or silicon dioxide), as sand, is a principal ingredient of glass, one of the most inexpensive of materials with excellent mechanical, optical, thermal, and electrical properties.  Ultra high purity silicon can be doped with boron, gallium, phosphorus, or arsenic to produce silicon for use in transistors, solar cells, rectifiers, and other solid-state devices which are used extensively in the electronics industry. The name Silicon originates from the Latin word silex which means flint or hard stone.

Cobalt  Nanopowder Acetone Dispersion:

About a third of the world's acetone is used as a solvent, and a quarter is consumed as acetone cyanohydrin, a precursor to methyl methacrylate. Acetone is a good solvent for many plastics and some synthetic fibers. It is used for thinning polyester resin, cleaning tools used with it, and dissolving two-part epoxies and superglue before they harden.

It is used as one of the volatile components of some paints and varnishes. As a heavy-duty degreaser, it is useful in the preparation of metal prior to painting or soldering, and to remove rosin flux after soldering, which helps to prevent the rusty bolt effect.

Although itself flammable, acetone is used extensively as a solvent for the safe transportation and storage of acetylene, which cannot be safely pressurized as a pure compound. Vessels containing a porous material are first filled with acetone followed by acetylene, which dissolves into the acetone. One liter of acetone can dissolve around 250 liters of acetylene at a pressure of 10 bar. Small amounts of acetone are produced in the body.

The decarboxylation of ketone bodies. Certain dietary patterns, including prolonged fasting and high-fat low-carbohydrate dieting, can produce ketosis, in which acetone is formed in body tissue. Certain health conditions, such as alcoholism and diabetes, can produce ketoacidosis, uncontrollable ketosis that leads to a sharp, and potentially fatal, increase in the acidity of the blood.

Since it is a byproduct of fermentation, acetone is a byproduct of the distillery industry. Acetone can be produced from the oxidation of ingested isopropanol, or from the spontaneous/enzymatic breakdown of acetoacetate (a ketone body) in ketotic individuals.

Cobalt Base Alloy Spherical Description

Cobalt is a chemical element with the symbol Co and atomic number 27. Like nickel, cobalt is found in the Earth's crust only in chemically combined form, save for small deposits found in alloys of natural meteoric iron. The free element, produced by reductive smelting, is a hard, lustrous, silver-gray metal.

Cobalt-based blue pigments (cobalt blue) have been used since ancient times for jewelry and paints, and to impart a distinctive blue tint to glass, but the color was later thought to be due to the known metal bismuth. Miners had long used the name kobold ore (German for goblin ore) for some of the blue-pigment-producing minerals; they were so named because they were poor in known metals, and gave poisonous arsenic-containing fumes when smelted. In 1735, such ores were found to be reducible to a new metal (the first discovered since ancient times), and this was ultimately named for the kobold.

Today, some cobalt is produced specifically from one of a number of metallic-lustered ores, such as cobaltite (CoAsS). The element is, however, more usually produced as a by-product of copper and nickel mining. The copper belt in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Zambia yields most of the global cobalt production. World production in 2016 was 116,000 metric tons (114,000 long tons; 128,000 short tons) (according to Natural Resources Canada), and the DRC alone accounted for more than 50%.[4]

Cobalt is primarily used in lithium-ion batteries, and in the manufacture of magnetic, wear-resistant and high-strength alloys. The compounds cobalt silicate and cobalt(II) aluminate (CoAl2O4, cobalt blue) give a distinctive deep blue color to glass, ceramics, inks, paints and varnishes. Cobalt occurs naturally as only one stable isotope, cobalt-59. Cobalt-60 is a commercially important radioisotope, used as a radioactive tracer and for the production of high-energy gamma rays.

Cobalt Disulfide Description  :

Cobalt Disulfide is a moderately water and acid soluble Cobalt source for uses compatible with sulfates. Disulfate compounds are salts or esters of sulfuric acid formed by replacing one or both of the hydrogens with a metal. Most metal sulfate compounds are readily soluble in water for uses such as water treatment, unlike fluorides and oxides which tend to be insoluble.

Organometallic forms are soluble in organic solutions and sometimes in both aqueous and organic solutions. Metallic ions can also be dispersed utilizing suspended or coated nanoparticles and deposited utilizing sputtering targets and evaporation materials for uses such as solar energy materials and fuel cells. Cobalt Disulfide is generally immediately available in most volumes. High purity, submicron and nanopowder forms may be considered.

Additional technical, research and safety (MSDS) information is available as is a Reference Calculator for converting relevant units of measurement.

Cobalt Glycol Ethylene Description

Metal nanopowder should be gently placed, avoiding violent vibration and friction. Metal nanopowder should be protected from moisture, heat, impact, and sunlight. The user must be a professional .This person must know how to use this product. The major use of ethylene glycol is as a medium for convective heat transfer in, for example, automobiles and liquid-cooled computers.

Ethylene glycol is also commonly used in chilled-water air-conditioning systems that either place the chiller or air handlers outside or must cool below the freezing temperature of water. In geothermal heating/cooling systems, ethylene glycol is the fluid that transports heat through the use of a geothermal heat pump.

The ethylene glycol either gains energy from the source (lake, ocean, water well) or dissipates heat to the sink, depending on whether the system is being used for heating or cooling. Pure ethylene glycol has a specific heat capacity about one half that of water. So, while providing freeze protection and an increased boiling point, ethylene glycol lowers the specific heat capacity of water mixtures relative to pure water. mix by mass has a specific heat capacity of about 3140 J/(kg·°C) (0.75 BTU/(lb·°F)), three quarters that of pure water, thus requiring increased flow rates in same-system comparisons with water.

The formation of large bubbles in cooling passages of internal combustion engines will severely inhibit heat flow (flux) from the area, so that allowing nucleation (tiny bubbles) to occur is not advisable. Large bubbles in cooling passages will be self-sustaining or grow larger, with a virtually complete loss of cooling in the area. With pure MEG (mono-ethylene glycol) the hot spot will reach 200 °C (392 °F). Cooling by other effects such as air draft from fans (not considered in pure nucleation analysis) will assist in preventing large-bubble formation.

Cobalt Iron Zinc Oxide Description

Cobalt is a Block D, Group 9, Period 4 element with an atomic weight of 58.933195. The number of electrons in each of cobalt's shells is 2, 8, 15, 2 and its electron configuration is [Ar] 3d7 4s2The cobalt atom has a radius of 125 pm and a Van der Waals radius of 192 pm. Cobalt was first discovered by George Brandt in 1732. In its elemental form, cobalt has a lustrous gray appearance. Cobalt is found in cobaltite, erythrite, glaucodot and skutterudite ores.

Cobalt produces brilliant blue pigments which have been used since ancient times to color paint and glass. Cobalt is a ferromagnetic metal and is used primarily in the production of magnetic and high-strength superalloys. Co-60, a commercially important radioisotope, is useful as a radioactive tracer and gamma ray source. The origin of the word Cobalt comes from the German word "Kobalt" or "Kobold," which translates as "goblin," "elf" or "evil spirit.

Iron:

Iron is a Block D, Group 8, Period 4 element with an atomic weight of 55.845. The number of electrons in each of Iron's shells is 2, 8, 14, 2 and its electron configuration is [Ar] 3d6 4s2. The iron atom has a radius of 126 pm and a Van der Waals radius of 194 pm.

Iron was discovered by humans before 5000 BC. In its elemental form, iron has a lustrous grayish metallic appearance. Iron is the fourth most common element in the Earth's crust and the most common element by mass forming the earth as a whole.

Iron is rarely found as a free element, since it tends to oxidize easily; it is usually found in minerals such as magnetite, hematite, goethite, limonite, or siderite. Though pure iron is typically soft, the addition of carbon creates the alloy known as steel, which is significantly stronger.

Zinc:

Zinc is a Block D, Group 12, Period 4 element with an atomic weight of 65.38. The number of electrons in each of zinc's shells is 2, 8, 18, 2, and its electron configuration is [Ar] 3d10 4s2. The zinc atom has a radius of 134 pm and a Van der Waals radius of 210 pm.

Zinc was discovered by Indian metallurgists prior to 1000 BC and first recognized as a unique element by Rasaratna Samuccaya in 800. Zinc was first isolated by Andreas Marggraf in 1746. In its elemental form, zinc has a silver-gray appearance.

It is brittle at ordinary temperatures but malleable at 100 °C to 150 °C. It is a fair conductor of electricity, and burns in air at high red producing white clouds of the oxide. Zinc is mined from sulfidic ore deposits. It is the 24th most abundant element in the earth's crust and the fourth most common metal in use (after iron, aluminum, and copper). The name zinc originates from the German word "zin," meaning tin.

Cobalt Micro Powder Description:

Cobalt is a chemical element with the symbol Co and atomic number.

Miners had long used the name for some of the blue-pigment-producing minerals; they were so named because they were poor in known metals, and gave poisonous arsenic-containing fumes when smelted.

World production in 2016 was 116,000 tonnes (according to Natural Resources Canada), and the DRC alone accounted for more than 50%. Cobalt is primarily used in lithium-ion batteries, and in the manufacture of magnetic, wear-resistant and high-strength alloys.

The compounds cobalt silicate and cobalt(II) aluminate (CoAl2O4, cobalt blue) give a distinctive deep blue color to glass, ceramics, inks, paints, and varnishes. Cobalt occurs naturally as only one stable isotope, cobalt-59. Cobalt-60 is a commercially important radioisotope, used as a radioactive tracer and for the production of high-energy gamma rays.
